This necklace features a single silver cherry blossom bud branch suspended on a silver chain. Inspired by a deeply personal story, my son was born in Japan during the spring cherry blossom (“sakura”) season. Just before his birth, I collected twigs with buds about to bloom, symbolizing new life and delicate transformation. These twigs were cast in silver to create this meaningful piece. “Oka San” means “mother” in Japanese.
The cherry blossom in Japan symbolizes fleeting beauty, change, and growth—the arrival of spring and the dreamlike wonder as petals fall like snowflakes.
